This fall, recipients of Wellstar Foundation Education Scholarships will return to the classroom with a little extra help thanks to generous support from donors. The Wellstar Foundation is proud to announce that 94 Wellstar team members from across the system, as well as qualifying spouses and dependents of team members, were recently awarded scholarships, totaling $147,500, in support of their educational and professional advancement. This year’s recipients are pursuing degrees in healthcare-related fields ranging from clinical mental health counseling, nursing, pre-med, radiology sciences, business administration, engineering and more. These scholarships are primarily funded by donations from fellow Wellstar team members through the Foundation’s Team Member Giving program.

The Wellstar Foundation is committed to addressing provider shortages and healthcare staffing challenges in Georgia. Through this scholarship, we are growing and better equipping our workforce to meet the healthcare needs of the diverse communities we serve.
